Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

Overview

• Our affiliate, Unified Women’s Healthcare of Texas, is looking for an experienced Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our well-established practice, Hill Country OBGyn in Austin.
• This NP will join a compassionate group who provide a team approach to patient care.
• Every member of our staff is focused on making the patient experience in our office individualized and meaningful.
• Position Highlights: Join an established and successful practice that has served women in the Austin metro area for over 20 years.
• Practice team consists of 8 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners along with a great support staff.
• This is a clinic only position and does not require any call, nights, or weekends.
• Duties include seeing obstetrics & gynecology patients, completing charting, calling back patients with labs, answering patient phone calls, patient education, sending prescriptions electronically or by phone, and administering medications.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic women’s health conditions.
• Counsel patients on contraception, fertility, and reproductive health options.
• Patient Census in Clinic: up to 20-30 per day.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Perform and assist with some minimally invasive procedures that can be completed in the office, such as pap smears, endometrial biopsies, and IUD placements.
• Will assist physicians with scheduling major surgical procedures at the St.
• David’s South Austin Medical Center.

Requirements

Women's Health Nurse Practitioner certification Unrestricted, active Texas NP licensure or ability to obtain Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician One year of full-time experience as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner is preferred City/Location Highlights: Austin is routinely lauded as one of the best places to live in the United States, thanks to its warm weather, thriving economy and bustling cultural scene.
