The Physical Therapy Assistant conducts treatment programs under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and communicates effectively with patients and healthcare team members. They provide interventions based on the plan of care and complete necessary documentation.
Candidates must have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree and state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. CPR certification and various background clearances are also required.

GENERAL OVERVIEW: This job conducts physical therapy treatment programs under the supervision of a Physical Therapist; effectively communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides physical therapy interventions based upon the plan of care written by a physical therapist utilizing standard, and possibly specialized, physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient. Completes documentation to comply with department, hospital, and regulatory standards. Participates in departmental initiatives for operational improvement including mentoring new staff and participating in committees and educational offerings. Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Associate’s Degree from a two-year college or technical school. State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or PT Assistant Indirect Supervision License or eligible and must obtain one within three (3) months of hire CPR – American Heart Association Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Preferred Bachelor’s Degree.
