The pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care to diverse patient populations across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings, involving dispensing functions, interpreting physician orders, and compounding medications. They also participate in clinical pharmacy activities, advise medical staff on drug therapy, and supervise pharmacy personnel as needed.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Iowa. Essential abilities include effective supervision of technical staff, accuracy, thoroughness, timely performance, and exercising professional judgment in medication therapy decisions.
