The intern will be responsible for efficiently transcribing patient information, documenting in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and conducting professional phone conversations with patients. Essential functions also include scheduling appointments and managing general patient interactions while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Candidates should be currently enrolled in undergraduate education, preferably majoring in Biology, Neuroscience, Nursing, Psychology, or other healthcare-related fields, though others pursuing healthcare careers will be considered. Required competencies include quick and accurate typing skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a genuine interest in sciences and healthcare.

The Challenge (Job Summary)

This position works in an environment that is a combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. The office is well-lighted, well-ventilated, adequate space. There is the potential for exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to medical office setting. The ideal candidate must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. You must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies.
