The Activities Assistant plays a vital role in enriching residents' lives by creating a joyful and engaging environment with warmth and patience. This involves developing and leading age-appropriate activities that suit various physical and cognitive abilities while connecting emotionally with seniors.
Candidates must demonstrate C.A.R.E. values (Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, Excellence) and typically need a high school diploma or GED, along with one to three months of related experience or training. Successful completion of a State-approved Nursing Assistant training program or CNA competency evaluation is also required, though this training may be provided by the community.
