The Crisis Therapist will conduct quick mental health assessments, manage emergencies as they arise, and provide necessary home-based support to ensure patient stabilization and facilitate initial referrals for ongoing treatment. This role also includes providing supervisory coverage and supervision of staff.
Candidates must be a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), with an LCSW being preferred, and possess a strong clinical background suitable for working with challenging patients and families. A valid driver's license is required, and bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.
Licensed social worker/Licensed Mental Health Counselor needed for The Crisis Prevention Response Team at ST. Vincent's Hospital, A division of Saint Joseph's Medical Center, a Mobile Psychiatric Prevention Team Serving Westchester County. We are looking for person with strong clinical background and the ability to work with challenging patients and families within the community. Ability to make quick mental health assessments, manage emergencies as they arise, provide home based support as needed to ensure stabilization and make initial referrals for ongoing treatment.
*Varied work week, including one weekend day, flexible schedule and some evening hours required. Some on call responsibilities based on program needs and provide supervisory coverage and supervision of staff.
