The Direct Support Professional will provide daily care and supervision within a residential setting, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve independence in daily tasks and community activities. This includes monitoring health and safety, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School Diploma or GED, along with a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a clean record. Experience in direct care or behavioral health services is preferred.
We’re hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate, hands-on care to individuals in our residential programs in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. As a DSP, you’ll empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independently and thrive within their communities. This is a direct care role that requires reliability, empathy, and a heart for service.
Responsibilities: ● Provide daily care and supervision in a residential setting
● Support individuals in achieving independence with daily tasks and routines
● Encourage participation in social and community activities
● Monitor health, safety, and well-being of individuals
● Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations and agency policies
● Assist with training and onboarding of new team members
● Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and report concerns to the Program Specialist
Required Qualifications: ● Must be at least 18 years old
● High School Diploma or GED
● Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications: ● Experience in direct care or behavioral health services
● Familiarity with I/DD populations and residential care settings
