The MRI Technologist will perform MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages while maintaining patient safety, which includes acquiring necessary patient data, performing required procedures, and conducting daily quality assurance checks. Responsibilities also involve educating patients, ensuring their comfort, reporting equipment malfunctions, and mentoring new hires and students.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology school and possess ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) within one year of hire, along with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum requirements also include being a Registered Technologist credentialed by ARRT in another modality (R, S, T, or N) or holding a CNMT certification, and possessing knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
