The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care to all ages under the general direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), assisting with assessments and coordinating care for a specific group of patients. Responsibilities include handling, preparing, and administering medications, as well as performing delegated procedures like venipuncture, IV insertion/discontinuation, and basic bedside care.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an accredited LPN program, holding a current Practical Nurse license in the State of Michigan. Certification in CPR or BLS is also required for this role.
