The Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, assessment, treatment, education, and planning for individuals limited by physical, cognitive, or psychosocial dysfunctions using occupational therapy modalities and rehabilitative procedures. This role may require some travel between facilities to provide necessary services.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy preferred, and hold current Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Texas. Additionally, maintaining current BLCS certification according to AHA guidelines is required.
Staff Occupational Therapist (OTR) is responsible for evaluation/assessment, treatment, education, planning, utilization of exercises including administering occupational therapy modalities, treatment, and rehabilitative procedures for individuals limited by physical injury or illness, a dysfunctional condition, cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction, mental illness, a developmental or learning disability whether due to trauma, illness, or condition present at birth. Some travel may be required in the provision of services between facilities and job functions. EDUCATION / LICENSURE: 1. Bachelors degree required, Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy perferred. 2. Current Licensure in the State of Texas as Occupational Therapist required. 3. Clinical experience preferred 4. Must have and maintain current BLCS certification, according to unit specific needs. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider’s Program.
