The Advanced Practice Provider will focus on conducting comprehensive history and physicals for new admissions, developing care plans, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests. This role requires close collaboration with attending physicians and hospitalists to ensure timely, high-quality evaluations and seamless coordination of care.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program and eligible for Maine licensure, with new graduates encouraged to apply if they have strong inpatient clinical rotations. Excellent clinical judgment and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment are essential qualifications.
Conduct comprehensive history and physicals for new admissions Perform detailed clinical assessments and develop care plans Collaborate closely with attending physicians and hospitalists Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests Document all encounters accurately in the EMR Coordinate care with nursing, case management, and ancillary services Assist with care transitions and discharge planning as appropriate
