Oncology Veterinary Technicians assist practitioners to improve the quality of care for patients and help specialists achieve greater efficiency. They are responsible for technical work and administrative details to support the veterinary team.
Candidates must be Licensed Veterinary Technicians or experienced Veterinary Assistants with at least 2 years of experience. A strong interest in oncology and prior experience in emergency and specialty hospitals is preferred.

Oncology Veterinary Technicians are required to assist the practitioners to the fullest possible extent, to help improve the quality of care given to the patients of Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center and to aid the specialists in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work and administrative detail.
• Starting at $22 hourly, based on experience
The successful candidate will work with board certified Veterinary Oncologists and other specialists and patient care personnel who provide excellent client service and the highest standard of patient care.
