The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate data collection while preparing and positioning patients appropriately. They are also responsible for operating and maintaining equipment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and maintaining detailed patient records in compliance with regulations.
Candidates must have completed an accredited diagnostic medical sonography or ultrasound technology program and possess current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent. Strong understanding of relevant anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, along with the demonstrated ability to safely and effectively operate ultrasound equipment, are required.
