Promote and restore patients' health by completing all activities listed in the care plan; collaborate with Community Health Nurse/Therapist; perform various activities such as personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation and errands Communication. Maintain effective communication to convey patient health status, treatment plans and progress; communicate with office and supervisory staff regularly Documentation. Accurately and completely document client care on activity sheet Compliance. Adhere to required department and system protocols, HIPPA regulations, local, state, federal requirements. Competency: Currently certified CNA along with completion of written test and one day HHA Skills competency class within 4 days of hire. Documented home health aide or nurse aide training and competency evaluation from an out-of-state training program The Certified HHA who wishes to be employed after a two-year lapse in employment as a HHA must take the 1 Day Skills Competency Class. They must complete a written test and pass the one day HHA Skills competency class within 4 days of hire and before working as an HHA. If the candidate has worked as a Certified HHA within the past 24 months, and is actively certified, no class is needed. Nursing student who has documented evidence of successful completion of course work requiring mastery of home health aide tasks within the past 24 months-Fundamentals of Nursing and must show completion of written test and one day HHA Skills competency class within 4 days of hire.
