The Behavioral Health Technician I provides direct and supportive care, engaging in roles such as facilitating group education, monitoring client health, and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment. A High School education or equivalent is required, along with two years of responsible employment, though experience in Human Services is preferred. Additional requirements include a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and obtaining First Aid and CPR certification within three months of employment.

In this role, you will oversee day-to-day activities, assist with health monitoring, and document client/patient behaviors, ensuring their needs are met and fostering a supportive atmosphere. This position offers… · Employee Assistance Program – 24/7 counseling services, legal assistance, & financial consultation for you and your household at no cost · Mileage Reimbursement – Company paid for work functions requiring travel · Employee Discounts – Hotels, Theme Parks & Attractions, College Tuition · Workplace Culture - An environment cultivating employee wellbeing, valuing each individual's humanity, and actively promoting a healthy, joyful workforce · Additional Perks & Benefits - Scroll down to bottom of this post to learn more Key Responsibilities: · Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients. · Encourage clients/patients to adhere to program expectations in a trauma-informed manner while communicating concerns to the treatment team. · Monitor vital signs and determine when to escalate to medical intervention for critical symptoms. · Obtain and record vital signs and relevant medical symptoms as indicated by medical personnel. · Oversee medication administration per policy and procedure. · Maintain accurate records of client medications and their self-administration. · Facilitate urine collection, testing, lab send-offs, and document accordingly. · Prepare for and facilitate group rehabilitative support and education sessions. · Provide client/patient transportation as needed to appointments. Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: · High School education OR equivalent with two (2) years of responsible employment. · Experience in Human Services or a related field is preferred. · For St. Louis County Programs: Bachelor's Degree, OR MAADC I or II. · For Residential Care Facility (RCF): Become credentialed as a Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and be Insulin Certified within the first ninety (90) days in position. Additional Qualifications: · Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance. · Completion of all training requirements, including First Aid and CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment. · Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle and twenty-three (23) years for a company-owned fifteen (15) passenger van. Physical Requirements: ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shifts.
