The nurse is responsible for delivering nursing care accountably, following the American Nurses Association standards, and demonstrating competency through the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role requires upholding professional performance standards such as ethical practice, communication, collaboration, and evidence-based practice to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Candidates must possess an Associate's in Nursing and are required to obtain a Bachelor's in Nursing within five years, along with a Michigan Registered Nurse license. A requirement for employment is holding an AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
