The Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and monitoring medications to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical therapies for patients in an acute care hospital setting. This includes verifying orders, providing drug information, compounding sterile products, and overseeing technicians to maintain compliance.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and hold an active, unrestricted Pharmacist license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in the state of practice. A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
