The OR Radiology Technician is responsible for accurately performing quality diagnostic procedures in surgery using imaging modalities, which includes operating X-ray equipment and C-ARMS while preparing the room and supplies. This role requires practicing proper radiation safety techniques, performing quality control checks, maintaining accurate logs, and adhering to surgical aseptic procedures.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, holding current ARRT and BLS certifications. Required experience includes two to five years specific to surgical radiological exams, with mandatory experience in Orthopedics and Spine procedures.

Radiology Tech Operating Room at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas:
· Performs quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner in surgery for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas.
Education: · High School diploma or equivalent
· Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
License: · Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) Certificate
· Current BLS certification
Required Experience: · Two to five years’ experience specific to surgical radiological exam
· Ortho and Spine experience required
· Demonstrates responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients
· Demonstrates ability to assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions dependent on the age group of the population served.
· Demonstrates ability to discuss treatment/service and to provide education information to patients/families in age group served
· Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.

· The OR Radiology Technician operates X-ray equipment, C-ARMS and prepares patient’s room, equipment, and supplies.
· Provides patient services using imaging modalities.
· Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams preformed.
· Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.
· Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.

· Investigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with Direct
· Takes emergency call as assigned
