The Occupational Therapy Assistant implements treatment programs for home health and hospice patients under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, performing selected measurement procedures. The OTA is also responsible for the communication and documentation of all patient care activities provided.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved school for Occupational Therapy Assistants and hold current OTA certification in California, along with a valid driver's license and automobile insurance. A minimum of one year of experience in acute care, home health, or community health is preferred, along with basic knowledge of home care standards and reimbursement patterns.
EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
