The mental health therapist provides crisis assessment and stabilization services in a fast-paced environment within the Intensive Crisis Residence. This role involves working collaboratively with a multidiscipline team to support residents experiencing a psychiatric crisis.
Candidates must be a licensed NYS Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Psychologist. A minimum of one year of experience working with adults in an outpatient mental health setting is required.
St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester in Harrison, New York is seeking an experienced therapist for a position in our Intensive Crisis Residence. The ICR will be a licensed, voluntary, short--term residential treatment program for adults experiencing a psychiatric crisis, providing treatment and supports to help residents return to their previous level of functioning in the community.
Reporting to the Program Director and working in collaboration with a multidiscipline team, the mental health therapist provides crisis assessment and stabilization services in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have excellent engagement and assessment skills, and the ability to provide effective treatment to individuals, families and groups.
NYS licensed Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor or Psychologist with at least one year experience working with adults in an outpatient mental health setting.
