The pathologist will handle general surgical pathology and cytology, including rapid on-site evaluations and frozen section evaluations. On-call duties will be shared with other pathologists in the group.
Candidates must be board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and qualified to obtain an unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania. Leadership opportunities may be available for qualified applicants.
Butler Memorial Hospital, one of the five hospitals in the Independence Health System, is seeking a full time AP/CP board certified/eligible Pathologist to join. Butler is a welcoming community just 35 miles north of Pittsburgh, offering affordable housing, excellent schools, and easy access to the city. Our pathology service currently handles approximately 23,000 surgical, 1,700 non gyn cytology and 3,861 gyn cytology cases a year, with a projected increase in volume of non-gyn cytopathology.
