WHAT YOU'LL DO Provide personal care support including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
Support residents with medication administration and vital sign monitoring in accordance with care plans.
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for residents.
Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and community integration.
Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to sanitation standards.
Document resident progress and incidents accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Foster a respectful, engaging atmosphere that encourages social interaction and independence among residents.
Assist colleagues and program leaders welcome new staff and supporting training of new hires and existing staff
Requirements
US Work Authorization Must be 18 years or older Valid Driver’s License High School Diploma or GED Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills Dependability, ability to maintain good attendance To Receive Priority, Applicants Should Have: Previous experience interacting with Intellectually/Developmentally Disabled population (does not need to be professional experience) Previous experience in direct care or nursing services. Bonus if within Group Home settings Relevant Certifications – ex: Med.
