The pharmacist is responsible for the operation of the Central and Satellite Pharmacies, including the purchase, storage, distribution, and dispensing of drugs. They also participate in data collection related to quality improvement and medication errors.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science or Pharm. D. from an accredited School of Pharmacy and be licensed by the LA State Board of Pharmacy in Louisiana. Basic computer literacy is required, and experience with computerized unit dose and IVAS programs is desirable.
