About the Role

• As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our Living Center, you will play a critical role in providing compassionate and high-quality nursing care to residents in a supportive and residential environment.
• Your primary focus will be on monitoring resident health, administering medications, and assisting with daily living activities to ensure the comfort and well-being of each resident.
• You will collaborate closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• This role requires a strong commitment to resident safety, adherence to healthcare regulations, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
• Ultimately, your work will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for residents by promoting their physical and emotional health in a respectful and dignified manner.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Kansas.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing principles, medication administration, and patient care standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a long-term care or residential living facility.
• Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care beneficial.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document residents’ health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate residents and their families on health management and wellness practices.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols and safety procedures.
• Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
