The CT Technologist is primarily responsible for ensuring patient safety and executing high-quality CT studies, which includes pre-screening for contraindications and using aseptic injection techniques. They must also effectively communicate with customers and radiologists, and in some instances, train new technologists and patient coordinators.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, though an Associate's degree is preferred, along with ARRT registration in Computed Tomography (or NMTCB certification where allowed by state). Candidates must also possess a state license, CPR certification, and strong customer service and organizational skills.
