The Patient Care Technician performs patient care and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection, and respiratory support.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old, with some positions requiring a minimum age of 18. Successful completion of a CNA certification or equivalent is preferred, along with a valid driver's license and BLS certification.
PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN. Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients. Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
Experience: Must be at least 16 years old Please note: Some positions may require at least 18 years old License(s)/Certification(s): Successful completion and documentation of one of the following: Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification Valid Driver's License when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within three months from date of hire Minimum Experience: Comprehensive on-the-job training provided — no prior experience necessary
