Family Partner

• The Family Partner performs a range of tasks through family and group sessions to assist the family in their own recovery process.
• They are responsible for working with families in treatment in a manner that is trauma-informed and responsive to needs, culture, gender, and military status.
• The Family Partner is responsible for collaborating with families and the team in the development of a person-centered recovery plan/family-centered recovery plan aimed at helping every family achieve their goals and objectives.
• Applies general knowledge of Recovery services to complete small projects or conduct a series of tasks with a limited degree of supervision.
• Supports and teaches parenting skills and other recovery tools and models personal responsibility, self-advocacy, and hopefulness.
• Supports participants in self-managing critical or crisis situations.
• Outreach to families that have missed appointments with the goal to engage in treatment.
• Continues to engage new families into services, assisting and navigating services.
• Provides linkage to other services within Lakes Regional and the community.
• Must transport families as needed: Current good driving record and maintaining good driving record.

This position will float between Terrell, Rockwall, and Greenville offices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Be a parent or a legally authorized representative of a child who has or has had a behavioral health diagnosis.
• Have one cumulative year of participating in mental health services as the parent or legally authorized representative of a child receiving mental health services.
• Be willing and able to share their lived experiences related to raising this child and navigating child-serving agencies with families in services.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED;
• Have a valid Texas Driver's license;
• Provide proof of current Texas liability insurance;
• Be willing to use a personal vehicle for travel within the 3-county catchment area.
