The pharmacist will support the emergency department by conducting medication histories, counseling patients, and participating in medical emergencies. They are also responsible for reviewing provider orders to ensure appropriate drug therapy and documenting care in the electronic medical record.
Candidates must hold a Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-approved college and be a registered pharmacist in Pennsylvania. Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency or three years of hospital pharmacy experience is required.
Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE approved college of pharmacy required. Successful completion of ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or 3 years of hospital experience is required. Registered pharmacist in Pennsylvania required.
