• Category: Nursing - PPECPOSITION SUMMARY The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to medically fragile children in the Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN assists with treatments, medications, and care routines, ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and compliance with Florida PPEC regulatory standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide hands-on pediatric nursing care under RN supervision.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient response.
• Observe, record, and report changes in patient condition promptly.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, emergency response, and safety protocols.
• Participate in training, competency assessments, and continuous education.

• Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Pediatric or PPEC experience preferred.
• Background check and TB screening required.
• Ability to work effectively under RN supervision and within scope of practice. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to bend, lift, kneel, and assist in patient positioning and emergency response.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Visual and auditory acuity to monitor children and medical equipment.
• Manual dexterity to perform nursing tasks safely.
