The Interventional Radiology Tech assists the physician during interventional procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and maintaining patient safety. They are responsible for positioning patients, selecting exposure parameters, and evaluating images for accuracy and quality.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved Radiologic Technology program and hold ARRT registration, KY Radiation Operator certification, and BLS certification. An IR Registry is required within two years of employment, with a preference for candidates with two years of recent experience as a general radiographer.
