Physicians are responsible for interpreting various diagnostic imaging studies and performing image-guided procedures, while Advanced Practice Providers assist with Interventional Radiology and procedural services, including patient evaluations and documentation. Both roles require collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, high-quality patient care and reporting.
Physicians must hold an MD or DO, be Board Certified or Eligible in Radiology, and preferably have fellowship training for subspecialty roles, along with eligibility for Illinois medical licensure. Advanced Practice Providers need to be graduates of an accredited PA or NP program with active or eligible Illinois licensure, with experience in Radiology or Interventional Radiology preferred.
