This role involves assuming responsibility and accountability for a group of assigned patients while working under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse reports directly to the Director of the assigned department.
Candidates must be a graduate of a Practical Nursing Program registered by the New York State Education or another state's licensing authority. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire, and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is necessary for critical care units.
