Job description

Individuals within this job classification are accountable for assessing,\nplanning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance\nwith OSUMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality\npatient care. The Registered Nurse (RN) must be able to demonstrate the\nknowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the\npatients served on the assigned unit. This individual must demonstrate knowledge\nof the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the\nability to assess data reflective of the patients status, interpret the\nappropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative\nto his/her age-specific needs. The RN is to plan for the provision of patient\ncare including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of\ncare in accordance with OSUMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective\nand quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and\nprocedures. He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and\nregulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act
