The nurse will provide direct patient care, including medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and assessing resident conditions. They will also supervise LPNs and CNAs while facilitating communication with physicians.
Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an RN or LPN in the state of Minnesota. The role requires the ability to perform clinical nursing duties and provide support to the nursing team.
Description Fairway View Neighborhoods Long Term Care seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work direct patient care in many capacities – observing, assessing, passing medications, and documenting information relating to the residents.
Include: Makes regular rounds observing resident condition, vital signs, assessing findings, planning resident nursing care, and recording pertinent information Accurate administration of medication and treatment as prescribed by physician. Assists physician during rounds in absence of Care Coordinator to facilitate communication. Instructs residents on their treatments and medication to promote resident understanding and continuity of care. Provides necessary support to LPN’s and CNA’s to ensure they are able to perform their work. Supervises the care by LPNs and CNAs to residents. Serves as a role model for other nursing personnel.
