Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of diseases or injuries. Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options while maintaining patients' medical records.
A DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution and appropriate state licensure are required. Candidates must also demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to lift patients and carry equipment.
