The Certified Nursing Assistant provides hands-on personal care and assistance with daily living activities to patients in their homes. They are responsible for monitoring patient conditions, documenting care, and reporting significant changes to the nursing staff.
Candidates must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in the state and possess current CPR certification. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, follow written instructions, and maintain a valid driver's license with an insured vehicle.
Currently licensed as a certified nursing assistant in the state. At least 18 years of age. Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given. Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision. Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired. Possess and maintains current CPR certification. Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene. Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization requirements and is in good working order. Skills and Abilities: General care skills, observation skills, and communication skills. Knowledge of home health care and government regulations. Good physical and mental health. Caring attitude, empathy, tact, and patience. Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions. Physical Demands: Requires moderate to heavy physical exertion, including driving to patient homes, assisting in transfer activities (wheelchair, bed, tub, toilet), and supporting individuals in ambulation therapy. Regularly required to use hands, talk, and hear; frequently required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to sit and lift/move over 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
