The Chaplain provides religious and spiritual resources to patients, families, and medical staff through pastoral care and counseling. They are responsible for delivering educational services and ministering to diverse faith needs within the hospital environment.
Candidates must hold a Master’s of Divinity degree and have completed at least 4 units of training in an ACPE, Inc. accredited program. Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
The Hospital Chaplain provides patients, their families, and hospital and medical staff with religious and spiritual resources. This is accomplished through pastoral care, counseling and educational services.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master’s of Divinity degree. Completion of at least 4 units of training in an ACPE, Inc. accredited program. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a hospital preferred. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: None. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Demonstrated ability to minister to various faiths and diverse needs and/or complaints in an effective manner.
