The scheduler/radiology technician is responsible for scheduling patients for imaging and performing diagnostic radiologic procedures. They must maintain accurate records, ensure equipment safety, and provide high-quality patient care according to hospital protocols.
Candidates must have completed an accredited radiology technology program and hold or be eligible for ARRT registration. A BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire, along with basic computer and math skills.
Schedules patients with the appropriate imaging modality. Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.
Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.
Associates degree in related field.
RRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire. State license as required.
