The technologist will perform patient interviews, obtain medical histories, and operate radiographic equipment for PET/CT scans. They are also responsible for administering pharmacological stress agents, monitoring patient vitals, and collaborating with physicians on image accuracy.
Candidates must hold a California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification along with ACLS, CPR, and BCLS certifications. Experience in an emergency or cardiac setting is considered a plus.

California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Main Responsibilities Test preparation: Interview patients, obtain medical history, verify patient consent paperwork, conduct patient teaching proficiently operate radiographic equipment Assess patient BP, pulse, respirations, lungs, and establish Peripheral Intravenous (IV) access Prepare and administer pharmacological stress agent medications with accurate dose calculations while abiding by appropriate practice guidelines and safety regulations Apply ACLS measures to patients when directed by the assigned physician Review Nuclear Medicine images, while monitoring accuracy, and ensuring appropriate collaboration and communication with the physicians, especially when sending test readings Abide by and stay up to date with best practices and updated compliance and safety regulations in a Cardiology setting with nuclear machinery Are A Plus! 1 - 3 years experience in an emergency care or cardiac setting Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology (JRCERT) American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT.N) Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Computed Tomography (ARRT.
