Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to OB/L&D patients, including labor, delivery, postpartum, and well-baby care as assigned
Monitor fetal status and maternal vitals, administer medications, assist with obstetric procedures, and support patient safety and comfort
Collaborate with obstetric teams, nurses, and ancillary staff; document assessments, plans, and progress in Cerner
Float to OB/antenatal and Med/Surg areas as needed to support operations in a small, critical-access setting
Support discharge planning, newborn care, lactation education, and family-centered care for OB patients
Requirements
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA/ARC-compliant required)
Prior travel nursing experience required
Ability to float to OB, antenatal/postpartum, well-baby, and Med/Surg areas as needed
Cerner charting experience or willingness to learn
