The Peer Recovery Coach engages and facilitates conversations with members to help them meet their recovery goals. They also provide team consultation and respond to critical situations using de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Peer Certification. Additionally, one year of experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges and a valid driver's license are required.

The Peer Recovery Coach I engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the members to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Recovery Coaches provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.
Expected starting wage range is $24.59 - $29.64. $1,000 sign on bonus. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Santa Clara Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) program serves adults age 18+ diagnosed with a severe mental illness. AOT serves individuals who are high utilizers of mental health services and are considered to be high risk for psychiatric hospitalization, and/or have been incarcerated.
