The Nurse Practitioner will provide local clinical oversight for hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions, including patient evaluations and session supervision. They will also coordinate with referring physicians and maintain clinical documentation for insurance and progress tracking.
Candidates must hold an active New York State NP license, board certification as an FNP or AGNP, and at least 2 years of post-certification clinical experience. Additionally, current ACLS certification and completion of a UHMS-approved hyperbaric medicine course are required.
Clinical background in hyperbaric medicine, oncology, wound care, ENT, or critical care ACHRN (Advanced Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse) certification or active pursuit Prior experience working with commercial insurance prior authorization processes Familiarity with hyperbaric medicine principles, chamber operation, or HBOT clinical protocols Experience working with radiation oncology or head and neck cancer patient populations
$120,000 – $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience Schedule: Full-time; Monday – Friday, standard daytime hours during session scheduling Training Support: UHMS hyperbaric medicine course enrollment supported — scheduling and costs covered by MD Hyperbaric for candidates not yet certified CME Support: Annual continuing medical education allowance for hyperbaric medicine
