Position Summary

• A clinical competent registered professional nurse who delivers patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning and delivery of care, patient education and delegation of nursing care.
• Requires both cognitive and technical skills to work with complex equipment, and assist physician specialists with performance of endoscopic and other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures specific to the GI Laboratory.
• Work entails interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with physicians, hospital staff, offices, patients, families and other guests.
• Job requires knowledge, skills and ability to provide psychosocial and cultural age-related care from adolescent through geriatric population.
• Accountable to the patient and family for care provided, and to the patient care manager for the totality of performance.
