The ECLS Specialist manages and monitors ECMO circuits for patients in cardiac or respiratory failure while collaborating with a multidisciplinary medical team. They are responsible for troubleshooting equipment, assessing patient hemodynamics, and performing procedures such as circuit repairs and patient transport.
Candidates must hold an associate degree in respiratory therapy and possess at least three years of respiratory care experience, including one year in critical care. A valid RRT certification and Connecticut state licensure are required, along with BLS and NRP certifications.
Associate degree in respiratory therapy, Bachelor’s preferred Minimum of three (3) years of experience in respiratory care and one (1) year in critical care NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required. Licensed as a Respiratory Care provider by the State of Connecticut. Current BLS and NRP (or obtained within 90 days of hire date).
