The role involves scheduling surgical procedures and creating pre-registered patient accounts. It also requires performing medical necessity screenings and managing surgical schedules while coordinating personnel and instrument availability.
The position requires the ability to build and maintain surgical templates and schedules. Candidates must be able to assess time requirements and resource availability for requested procedures.
Schedules surgical procedures as well as creates pre-registered patient accounts. Completes the medical necessity screening for applicable outpatient procedures. Builds and maintains surgical schedules and templates. Takes into consideration the amount of time, availability of personnel, instruments, and additional services necessary to complete the requested surgical procedures scheduled.
Education and Training
High School Diploma or equivalent.
