The Registered Nurse is responsible for identifying patient needs through assessment and planning, delegating, and evaluating care to ensure positive outcomes. They must maintain established standards of care and policies while working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Alabama or multi-state nursing license. BLS certification is required, with ACLS, PALS, or NRP required for critical care areas.
Overview Executes appropriate patient care by assisting the physicians with diagnostic procedures. Supports team members before, during, and following procedures to assure optimal patient care.
Education: High School diploma/GED required. License, certification and/or registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists eligibility. BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment. ACLS certification is required within 12 months of employment. EKG Competency Testing is required within the first 90 days of employment and annually: (Part 1) Visual identification of 6 Lethal Cardiac Rhythms, passing with a score of 100%; (Part 2) Basic EKG Rhythms written examination, passing with a score of 85% or higher.
