The Phlebotomy Technician is responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients and ensuring their safe delivery to the laboratory. They must maintain strict patient identification protocols and handle patient information with absolute confidentiality.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with MLA certification and an associate degree in biology or chemistry preferred. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be able to complete HeartSaver CPR training.
Education: Graduate of Accredited School Of Nursing License, Certification and/or registration: Current nursing Alabama or multi-state Licensure. BCLS required (must be completed within the Provisionary Period).
