EIHC is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse dedicated to serving the needs of our community.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, Limited Saturday Rotation

Compensation

$21.84 to $35.88 hourly depending on experience

• Essential duties and responsibilities
• Provide general nursing care and leadership, working collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provides individualized education to patients and families appropriate for age, diagnosis, and level of understanding with the direction of RN or Provider.
• Assists provider with patient office visits, including putting patients in rooms, interviewing patients, recording vital signs and entering information in patient’s electronic medical record.
• Responsible for maintaining exam rooms organized, clean, and stocked with required supplies and equipment for each visit.
• Performs select clinical tests including, but not limited to; blood glucose, rapid HIV testing, influenza, and strep cultures. Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. Correctly labels specimens.
• Observes, records, and reports changes in patients’ condition.
• Administers medications and vaccines according to orders from a provider, following the six (6) rights of medication administration; including maintenance of intravenous lines.
• Assists providers with procedures by providing pre and post-procedural care, participating in the Time Out, and intra-procedural support.
