Requires an Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or Sonography, or at least 4 years of relevant experience. Must hold BLS certification and RDMS or RVT credentials.
Summary: Performs a variety of standardized noninvasive cardiovascular tests to include three specialties of these four: adult echocardiography, pediatric echocardiography and peripheral vascular studies of upper and lower extremities and carotid arteries. Assist Physician with ultrasound guided exams. Perform studies with accuracy and precision necessary to satisfy department standards and Physician interpreters while projecting a professional image , conserving hospital property and assets and meeting competency requirements. Provides direct patient care to all ages. Performs injection of bubble studies and ultrasound enhancement agents such as Optison, Definity and/or Lumason.
