The Clinical Research Nurse will screen patients for clinical trial participation, conduct the informed consent process, and provide ongoing patient care and education. They are also responsible for monitoring patient conditions for adverse events and ensuring accurate data entry and documentation for trial requirements.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN license and at least one year of nursing experience. Additional requirements include BLS or ACLS certification, with oncology experience and OCN, CCRC, or CCRP certifications strongly preferred.
Work closely with physicians to identify and screen potential patients for clinical trial participation. Present trial concepts and details to oncology patients while conducting the informed consent process. Assess patients for adverse events and/or changes in condition. Provide staff and patient education regarding the management and administration of investigational product. Ensure accurate and timely documentation and data entry to meet trial requirements. Serve as a liaison between clinic departments to ensure proper trial conduct.
